The Mansfield Primary Academy provides for the needs of children within the 3 to 11 age range who live in the Mansfield area.
Pupils will be admitted at the age of 3+ without reference to ability or aptitude using the criteria set out in our main Admissions policy. Admission to our Academy is not dependent on any ‘voluntary’ contribution.
- 30 for pupils in Reception Year R
For admission to Reception, in the year preceeding admission, parents should apply using the Nottinghamshire County Council’s Admission process.
For admission in September 2016, parents should complete and return their forms to the Nottinghamshire LA by Friday 15 January 2016.

There is right of appeal to an Independent Appeals Panel for unsuccessful applicants relating to admissions at age 5 (statutory school age) or above. Appeals should be made, in writing, to the Academy within twenty (20) school days of the date of refusal.
Please be aware that the regulations under Section I of the School Standards and Framework Act 1998 limit the size of an infant class (a class in which the majority of children will reach the age of 5, 6 or 7 during the school year) to 30 pupils per class teacher. Admissions over this limit are only permitted in very limited circumstances.
