Helping at home

There are many ways you can help your child at home. This ranges from positive conversations about school to supporting them to develop skills, by encouraging activities.

Reading is one of the most fundamental skills children need. Those who can read well before leaving primary school go on to have higher-level well-paid jobs. There is a whole section on how you can support developing early reading and what the children will be learning week by week to develop the skill of decoding, that we teach through Little Wandle phonics.
