Melissa Grace Hatton's Children's Trust

Melissa was a loved member of staff at Mansfield Primary Academy who supported children and got involved with all manner of activities within the setting. She was also a great lover of horses, Melissa enjoyed success at the top level of showing. She regularly competed on ponies and intermediates in the show ring, starting her journey aged 3, at her local riding club. Aged seven, she progressed to national level showing. Melissa rose through the ranks of the British Show Pony Classes (BSPS) and regularly competing at both the Horse of the Year Show (HOYS) and the Royal International (RIHS). She worked at Mansfield Academy from 2017 until 2021.

A Trust has been set up to support underprivileged children in her memory. As Mansfield Primary Academy was truly in her heart we continue to work closely with trust who continue to provide support and gifts.
