Sherwood Area Partnership

A partnership of 50 primary schools in the Mansfield and Sherwood areas of Nottinghamshire working together to support children with SEMH needs.

The support offers a range of services to school and children that includes:

Support through consultations, SAP outdoor learning programme (1:1 & small group Forest schools), Counselling, Drawing and talking, Dukeries Equine sessions, SAP sensory occupational therapy assessments, Speech and Language assessments and Staff wellbeing.

The parent includes:

Getting support for child SEMH needs, Reach conversations, resources and videos for parents which includes;

  • Offer emotional and practical support to parents and their families, in their own homes and in the community.
  • offer a whole family / family centred approach to families and who are identified as part of
  • build a trusting relationship with the parents and young people
  • local resources and community and statutory services, including Mental Health Teams, Social Services, Health, CAMHS, Schools and voluntary services, and communicate effectively with them in the best interests of the child and family.
