Home and Remote Learning

When children are unable to attend primary school —whether due to illness, weather disruptions, or unforeseen closures—online learning becomes an essential tool to maintain educational continuity. It ensures that pupils can stay engaged with their studies, access curriculum-aligned resources, and receive guidance from teachers remotely. This approach helps prevent learning gaps, supports consistent academic progress, and fosters digital literacy from an early age. Moreover, online platforms offer flexibility for families and allow schools to uphold their educational responsibilities even during disruptions, making it a vital component of modern education.

At Mansfield Primary Academy children can have work sent via the Class Dojo app to complete at home for expected absence e.g. long-term sickness. On the day learning can also be sent this way but please be mindful the work may not be sent immediately.  Therefore, to support children we also offer a range of Apps to allow learning to continue that children can access at home both if illness occurs or for extra learning opportunities.

As always, the one thing you can do is read with your child and this has huge impact across all subjects. Please remember to log your reading on Boom reader - Boom - Pupil Portal
